Former Dadza D band members form 'Tried and Tested' band

The band is under the record label called Exclusive G Records, whose Director is Gabriel 'Seku Bee' Gwini, who doubles as producer and musician.

FORMER Fire Colossal band members fronted by dancehall chanter Dadza D have left the chanter to form their own band — The tried and tested.

The band is under the record label called Exclusive G Records, whose Director is Gabriel 'Seku Bee' Gwini, who doubles as producer and musician.

Seku Bee said the idea is to diversify the band's activities and not being aligned to one artist and one genre.

"We are tried and tested and those who know us know that we are good at what we do," he said.

"The members were with Dadza D's Fire Colossal band and left respectively. I was the band manager at that time and I then made sure that we regrouped and started a new journey.

We are not specifically aligned to one artist or a certain genre. We are up for everyone who needs our services as we have figured out that most artists don't have bands of their own," said Seku Bee.

The band comprises Fortune Nyamadzawo also known as Flairbeats who is on keys; Mac Tanaka Gonzo (bassist), Charles on Drums and Julius Chirume, the band manager and logistics.

Locally the band has worked with Ndunge Yut, Crazy E, Tekko, Penky Bezzy, Clay Dee Mojah and Seku Bee.

Across the region the band has worked with Deadlyness, Jay Toms and Mis P Zambia as well as Maddy Best of Tanzania.

The record label is working with new music set for release in 2024 with old and new artists.
