Mafikizolo, Jah Prayzah remake ‘Sendekera’ night

The only difference is that this time around Mafikizolo and Jah Prayzah will perform alongside the headline act Koffi Olomide.

WHEN Jah Prayzah and Mafikizolo meet in Kadoma for the African Explosion show on April 14, it will be a remake of the last Friday of September 2017 when they brought down the usually quite gold mining town as they launched  their collaborative effort- Sendekera and Mazuva Akanaka.

Mafikizolo have been in Zimbabwe many times, but that night was their first in Kadoma and that became the biggest ever show to be hosted in Kadoma.

The only difference is that this time around Mafikizolo and Jah Prayzah will perform alongside the headline act Koffi Olomide.

“It’s the first time we are bringing Olomide to Kadoma. Kadoma is a central and accessible location for people from all corners of the country and the Odyssey has a proven track record,” said the organisers.

Koffi popularised Rhumba and became famous for his hit song Loi released in 1997. The artist has worked with Zimbabwean Roki on a song dubbed Patati Patata.

Tammy Moyo and Enzo Ishall also make the list of supporting acts to grace the stage in Kadoma.

The concert’s advance tickets are already on sale at the concert venue and Eat n Lick food outlets across the country.

Odyssey general manager Kudzai Chipengo said merrymakers will have to fork out US$20 for the standard ticket and US$40 for the VIP one.

The venue has in the past hosted DJ Tira, Makhadzi, and local stars such as Alick Macheso, Freeman, Winky D, ExQ, Baba Harare, Killer T among others.
