Black Rhinos Football Club will continue with Stix Mutizwa as the team's head coach job in the coming season, but has been given the target of a top four finish.

The club's legend was elevated to head the team's technical team following the departure of Herbert Maruwa, who was relieved of his duties at the tail end of the season.

The nomadic Maruwa has since joined Dynamos and is reported to be keen on luring a number of his former players to his new base.

Rhinos secretary-general Colonel Edward Mutukwa told NewsDay that they have put faith in Mutizwa and were now looking for an assistant to bolster the technical team setup.

Mutizwa took charge of the last 12 matches in which he managed three wins, six draws and three defeats.

They eventually finished with 46 points, 29 points behind champions FC Platinum.

Black Rhinos enjoyed a good start to the season and at one point looked like they would challenge for the league title.

But a dip in form in the second half of the season saw them struggling to keep pace in the title race, which cost Maruwa his job.

Mutizwa's immediate task is to rebuild the team, with a number of players rumored to be on their way out.

Club's player's player of the year Gareth Madhake's contract expires at the end of the year and he has been linked with a number of teams, including Dynamos and FC Platinum.

Player of the season Farai Banda is also wanted by Dynamos, who have made a formal approach for the player.

However, Manica Diamonds are understood they are looking to gazump the deal.

Striker Eli Elunga, who finished as the club’s top goal scorer last season with 9 goals, has already signed for Dynamos while exciting winger Keith Madera is also training with DeMbare with the hope of signing.
