Drake has once again put money on the line for this weekend's sporting action, laying a £537,000 (CA$833,333) bet on both Arsenal and Barcelona to come out on top on Sunday.

The Canadian rapper could win over £2.5million (CA$3,900,002) should his wager come good, although he does have a checkered history when it comes to gambling.

Although he won a staggering £3m backing both British MMA superstars Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann earlier this year, he also lost £368k after Leon Edwards' shock UFC 278 knockout of Kamaru Usman.

Although Barcelona and Real Madrid meet in a very close encounter, with both sides on excellent form, Arsenal's clash with Leeds is - at least on paper - slightly more clear cut.

Mikel Arteta's side are top of the table, having only lost once, and are in fantastic form with eight wins in the Premier League.

Their opponents for Sunday's clash, on the other hand, are without a win since August, having made a brilliant start to the campaign.

Barca's start to LaLiga has been spectacular, conceding just one goal as they sit top of the division by virtue of a superior goal difference to their great Clasico rivals, Los Blancos.

But where they have been excellent domestically, they have struggled to impress on the continental stage.

The Blaugrana are on the verge of a second successive group stage exit in the Champions League, having won only one of their four clashes so far.

Sunday's El Clasico clash also sees the Catalan giants kitted out in Drake-inspired shirts, with their sponsors Spotify celebrating the Canadian becoming the first artist to reach 50 billion streams.

However they will be looking to avoid the 'Drake curse' - an internet theory that the rapper is behind the downfall of several form sides and athletes across the world.

After players met with Drake ahead of fixtures, each of PSG, Arsenal, Anthony Joshua and Conor McGregor suffered high profile defeats from 2018-19.
