ZIMBABWEAN judge Justice Rodgers Foroma Manyangadze has been sworn in at the Southern African Development Community Administrative Tribunal (SADCAT).
SADCAT has seven judges.
Other judges who were sworn in include Adelino Fernando Muhungo from Angola, Mumcy Mji Dlamini (Eswatini), Gaitree Jugessur-Manna (Mauritius), Albino Macie (Mozambique), Latifi Mansoor (Tanzania) and Sanji Mmasenono Moganeng — the SADCAT president.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, Monageng expressed gratitude to the retiring SADCAT judges for serving the institution with professionalism, dedication and judicial expertise.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the outgoing judges who have served the institution with distinction. I encourage the just sworn-in judges to execute their duties with… fairness and partiality,” she said.
On July 17, 2013, Manyangadze was sworn in as Labour Court president
On September 29, 2021, Manyangadze took oath as a judge of the High Court.
The newly sworn-in SADCAT judges were appointed by the Sadc Council of Ministers during its meeting held in August 2022 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

SADCAT was established by a Resolution of the Sadc Summit meeting held in Gaborone, Botswana, on August 18 2015 pursuant to articles 9(2) and 10(6) of the SADC Treaty.
SADCAT has jurisdiction to hear and determine labour disputes between the Sadc secretariat and any of its institutions.
This includes disputes relating to the contract of employment of a staff or to the terms of appointment of staff members.
