Nomalanga Dube is a aged 25-year old woman and resides in Bulawayo.
She is a development, monitoring and evaluation practitioner as well as a researcher and a women’s rights advocate.
In 2019, she graduated from Lupane State University with a Bachelor of Social Science Honours Degree in Development Studies.
She recently completed a Bachelor of Science, Special Honors Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation.
Her biggest accomplishment to date has been her publication on “Water shortages and Climate Change in the context of Covid -19 in Zimbabwe.”
“I aspire to be a renowned development and monitoring and evaluation consultant,” Dube said.
“I also want to be a lecturer and in order to achieve this, I am working towards getting a doctorate degree.”
To her being a young women leader means being an agent of change in her community.

“Being a woman leader means being able to advocate for marginalised groups such as girls, women and people with disabilities towards ensuring that their views are taken into cognizance in the development agenda,” she said.
Dube’s personal mantra is “go in and come out different”.
“Being able to learn from various situations puts you at a state where you are able to deal with any obstacle that comes your way,” she said.
“My greatest life lesson was when I fell pregnant during my third year. This was a difficult time, with support from great women like Mrs Mildred Sandi and the late Mrs Mabel Moyo in the Women Coalition of Zimbabwe Bulawayo Chapter, I was able to finish my first degree.
“It was during this time when I got to understand the importance of having mentors as a young woman.”
