ZIMBABWE A Women’s cricket team all-rounder, Kelis Ndhlovu made a harvest of accolades at the recently-ended Kwibuka WomensT20I tournament in Rwanda.

Kwibuka T20I tournament is staged to commemorate the Rwandan genocide of 1994.

Zimbabwe, making their debut at the decade-old tournament, finished in second place following a two-run defeat to Uganda in the final on Sunday.

It was, however, the 18-year-old player, who captained the Zimbabwe U19 Women’s team at the inaugural ICC U19 World Cup in South Africa, who was the toast of the tournament collecting five awards.

She won the Player and Batter of the Tournament and made into the Team of the Tournament, earlier having won three Player of the Match awards.

For her efforts, she returned home with two boxed Samsung phones, three trophies and a blender.

Returning spinner-cum-all-rounder Loryn Phiri also made it into the team of the tournament together with 15-year-old batter, Beloved Biza.

Zim A Women captain and wicketkeeper, Chiedza Dhururu was named Fielder of the Tournament.
