Growing in precise divine knowledge

Opinion & Analysis
BIBLE

Previously, we ended by saying that it is the desire of the Father that we should graduate from this higher university of spiritual knowledge. This is so that we may be able to bring forth fruit unto the praise of His glory. The longer and the more we spend time with Him in the Word and prayer, the more we walk worthily of the Lord, unto all pleasing.

It does not glorify our Father for us to be buffeted about by every wind of doctrine and by the power of the enemy. It’s a blow that brings His name into disrepute as His children and the salt and light of the world.

We read Ephesians 4:14-15, Amplified, “[14] So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead. [15] Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”

Dear beloved let us make a stand and refuse to be spoiled by miscreants and all agents of the devil. In everyone's walk of faith, there is a time you are called to exercise your authority from the Throne you’re reigning with Christ. It may be continuous satanic delays, hardships, infirmity and affliction. You know you’re a spirit and you have to release spiritual hormones and shred lions and bears into pieces like David. Decide today that you are not a door mat but a king/queen and royal priest.

The Father’s heart is set on full knowledge women and men who will be able to stand against the cunning artifices of the adversary. They should be able to pray the prayer of faith for the sick and the needy; and be able to unveil the Word of His grace to those who are hungry for spiritual things.

1 Timothy 2:4 intimates the Father’s desire for His children. It reads: “Who would have all men to be saved, and come to this perfect, this precise, and exact knowledge of the truth.”

Please watch this, not only that they may be saved, but that they may grow in Christ; that they may spiritually come to full age so that the Word will become a living reality to them. If this happens, prayer will not be begging but a joyful co-operation with the Father. We are taking Jesus' place here on the earth. Prayer should be simply a conference with the Father, laying before Him the needs of women and men about us. Our prayers and supplications will be a requisition for food, healing and strength for those in need.

We will not be as those mentioned in 2 Timothy 3:7: “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Dear believers, we need to come to the reality of the Word. There are those who are just flitting from one denomination or ministry to another. They are darting from one Bible teacher to another, dabbling in this course and in that, but never settling down and becoming proficient as teachers of the Word and helpers of those who are in need.

It is no doubt that it's the Father’s will that we have an exact knowledge of His will. We will become exact, precise, full-knowledge teachers of the Word. That means more than just what our denomination or ministry or our creed has accepted. It’s sobering how few well-rounded teachers of the Word there are!

There is a limit placed by our denominations and ministries where we can only teach the message that their creed permits. Anything outside of that is questionable. By this we have locked Christ up in a creed, so that He is not bigger than our creed will allow Him to be. This is quite pathetic. We have made it impossible for Him to help congregants beyond the limit of our doctrines. This is very unfortunate.

2 Peter 1:2, teaches: “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,” This is exact, accurate, correct, precise, full, complete and perfect knowledge of God the Father and of Jesus our Lord. This is a wonderful invocation. How this would revolutionise the church! How that would revolutionise your life! 2 Peter 1:3, hammers it: “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” Oh what blessed words!

Exact knowledge would not be demanded unless it could be attained. We have a perfect revelation. Additionally we have a perfect Teacher, the Holy Spirit.

The Father chose His own instrument, the Apostle Paul, a man who could receive a perfect revelation from God the Father and not adulterate  it  with  his  own  philosophy.
